THE SHOW MUST GO ON!

¡El show debe continuar! Ese era el título de la canción de Queen con el que en cierta manera Freddie Mercury se despedía.

The Show Must Go On fue lanzada como sencillo en octubre de 1991 en el Reino Unido, 6 semanas antes de la muerte de Freddie. Después de su fallecimiento, el sencillo volvió a ingresar en los charts británicos alcanzando el puesto #16. En Estado Unidos, la canción llegó al puesto #2.

El 23 de noviembre de 1991, Freddie Mercury anunció al mundo que padecía el SIDA. Al día siguiente fallecía en su casa, rodeado de familiares y amigos. Este hecho conmocionó a sus millones de fans, que no habían conocido la enfermedad de Freddie hasta el mismo final.

Queen  sacó a finales de 1995  el que fue el último álbum de la banda, ‘Ultimate Queen‘, una caja de lujo con los veinte discos de Queen. Pocos meses después editaron su último disco, ‘Queen Rocks’, con una canción dedicada a Freddie, ‘No One But You (Only The Good Die Young)’.
